This furoshiki cloth features an early autumn scene with mochi pounded rice cakes and a lovely vase filled with flowers, all set out in honor of the harvest moon. The base is a deep purple.
Look at that big yellow moon and you'll see what are known as the seven grasses of autumn, along with a bunny rabbit. According to lore, there's a rabbit in the moon, and she makes mochi. So the next time you think you see a man in the moon, look again, you might be surprised!
It's about 50cm x 50cm(19.69" x 19.69") and like my other furoshiki, is a high quality 100% cotton. It can of course be used as a furoshiki cloth to wrap a small gift, though its petite size makes it best in this regard for smaller items, allowing for enough room to tie it. The rich colors and texture and size make it ideal for home decor or quilting projects, too!
I also sell a furoshiki hanger separately that works very well with this size furoshiki and makes it easy to display this cute rabbit fabric on your wall. You can find this handy hanger here.
